time flies by.

Wow. Its been forever. It was probably a month ago when I just got back from sydney and wrote my previous post. I had an awesome holiday but it past way too fast. All the lazing and playing games is over now. Came back from singapore 2 weeks ago and now we are experiencing the week 3 horror. We actually have work to DO. I’ve been sick for a while now, had the fevers and the cough. Thankfully I’m getting better and hopefully not get worse again or if its the dreadful SWINE. Alright down to reading my ultra thick course reader and sulk because I can’t eat much since I’m on a MAJOR diet cuz I’m fat – my mommy says I’m  F A T .

Winter Getaway: 18th-22nd June.

Simon and I jetted off to sydney the night our exams finished. We had a really good time just shopping and EATING our hearts out! It rained 2 outa the 4 days we were there, but it was nice walking hand in hand under an umbrella. the weather was amazing, food was amazing and we maxed out our max brenner stomaches.. hahaha. ok i’m not funny. we met his aunty, uncle and cousins and had lotsa fun chilling with them at their home. It was a short but memorable trip, and I want to go back again!

Thank you baby for everything! You’re beyond awesome. =)

People.

Living in this world is a tiring thing to do. You meet people that are nice, and people that are not. People who would betray you, people who are two face and back stab. As the church have mentioned the past year, all those traits are very hurtful. But i tend to see things in a better way. There are worse things that can happen in life than to hear awful things being said about you. Its heartbreaking to know there are people around me like that. It frustrates me to be around them, and I never want to look them in the eye because I don’t think I can face such people. This break would be good. Being alone or with simon just hanging out and clearing the mind. It is a good time to reflect, forget and forgive. Heres to a good holiday with nobody around Ü

A gastronomic experience.

For our 6 month celebration (which is tomorrow!), Simon brought me to the highly acclaimed and award winning ‘The Loose Box’. It was a cute little cottage 45 mins from perth. As we walked in, the smell of the wood burning in the fire place filled the nostrils. It was a nice feeling compared to the 8 degree walk from the car. Simon contacted them to order the truffle menu, but there weren’t any truffles in yet, so i settled for the normal degustation menu, with a glass of riesling. What I loved was the cosy setting, and the lamb dish which was impeccable. We were so full after 8 tiny courses. The calories were well worth it Ü

Quail, Duck and Chicken folded with kipfler potato in a blinis of chives and olives, served with a horseradish sour cream, quail eggs and vanilla olive oil

Le Saumon en Gravalax au gingembre

Cured Salmon gravalax, dressed with olive oil, lime and grated ginger, served with a salsa of Lebanese cucumber, roma tomato, raddish and capers. Lightly set with a lime mayonnaise and garnished with coriander

Les Saint Jacques de ‘Shark Bay’, Risotto de Cèpes

Cured and roasted Shark Bay Scallops set on risotto cushions with a Porcini emulsion and served with a parmesan tuile

Woke up in the morning, simon had the papers in front of him for breakfast. He spotted a DJ sale on, and it starts today! Simo is forever looking up vogue forums for designer sales and what not.. hes more excited than i am! haha.. we were too excited about the DJ sale and we decided to skip some study, and go shopping! Reached there, walked into myers first, and woah-la! They have a stocktake sale on as well! The coat I wanted to buy yesterday was on further reduction yet again! I got it for half price =) We reached DJ and I LOVE to see red tags everywhere. Red tags = SALE! We were looking at bags, when I looked over to ferragamo and their bags were on sale! Then, my eyes spotted a red sign again..

I frantically dragged simon across and there were my favourite flats.. BUT, the colour that I wanted was not on sale oh well nevermind, i walked across to the heels section, and i saw something i liked, and it was on sale!! Tried on different colours and simo bought a white pair for me! wheeee! superduperly happy!! The best thing was, I went shopping yesterday while waiting for simo to finish hospital, and i walked into country road and there was 50% off, to top it off, i had the country road card, and I got another 30% off =) What a great 2 days, and now, its time to study! poo.
